Happy Father's Day

We at Sunnyvale Christian School want to wish all Fathers a Happy Father’s Day - that includes Adoptive Fathers, Stepfathers, and Grandfathers. Fathers play an important role in our lives. They love, care, provide, protect, make awful good jokes, and so much more! We hope you feel loved and celebrated this Father’s Day weekend.

We also want to celebrate and honor our Heavenly Father who is perfect in all of His ways (Psalm 18:30). Some know their earthly dad’s. Some don’t. The great thing is that we all can get to know God, as our Heavenly Father. It is evident that our world is hurting. Every one of us is broken and in need of a Savior. If you look at the news today you see injustice, disease, violence, bankruptcy - hopelessness. But “blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter‬ ‭1:3‬‬‬). You may have heard John 3:16 before; it describes God the Father’s heart for humanity so well. “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John‬ ‭3:16‬). God loves us all - every nation and tongue - and gave Himself so that anyone who believes in Him will be saved from this perishing world. He loves. He cares. He provides. He protects. He heals. He restores. He brings justice. He brings peace. He alone has the victory. There is no Father like Him. If you have not experienced God the Father’s love and would like to, all you have to do is believe and confess that Jesus Christ is your Savior (Romans 10:9). God the Father is waiting with open arms to lavish His love on you. He longs to be a Father to you and to lead you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:18‬).

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
