Beautiful Exchange

Today is Good Friday, a day of remembering when our Savior, Jesus Christ, laid down His life for ours. God’s intention for us, His creation, has always been eternal life with Him. Due to our fallen nature and immorality, the gift of eternal life was stripped from humanity. We became unworthy of the Presence of God and His gift of eternal life.

When the Creator, God Himself, sent His Son Jesus to earth, our hope was restored. Jesus is our only hope. He became human and lived a sinless life in order to die in our place. He was bruised, beaten, and put to death on a cross as a sacrifice for all of humanity. As Jesus gave His life, He declared “It is finished” (John 19:30). Now we get to respond and say YES to His sacrifice. God’s Word says “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved“ (Romans 10:9). Jesus paid it all for us and all we need to do in return is confess and believe. Quite a beautiful exchange! The best part of the story is that death was not the end. In order to complete His sacrifice He needed to rise from the dead. And He did! He is Risen indeed!!

Our prayer this Easter is that people would be drawn to their Heavenly Father’s love and believe and confess that Jesus is Lord. “But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Let’s walk in His healing this Easter. By His wounds we are healed! We are made worthy! We are restored! Let us celebrate this Happy Easter!

In an interview, you may be asked, “Where do you see yourself in five years?” This is a question regarding your future ambitions or goals. Employers frequently use this question to learn more about how well this position fits into your broader career goals.

You might or might not know exactly where you want to be in five years. In either case, there are a few suggestions you may use to answer where you see yourself in five years in a way that shows your excitement for the position and impresses your interviewer.
